Cross Country Co-ed 5th - 8th grade

La Entrada will compete in a Cross Country league open to all students from 5th through 8th grades. Practices and/or meets will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Tuesday September 3rd.  Practice will start at 3:30 and usually last until 4:30.  Please meet at the lunch tables. We will also hold practice on Sundays at 9am and will meet at La Entrada or a beautiful park in the area.

Our teams are entered in a competitive league made up of teams from public middle schools in our area. Information about the schedule will be coming out soon.

 

Flag Football Co-ed 6th - 8th grade

Co-ed Flag football 6th-8th grade - Practice is Monday, Wednesday, Friday (Games are usually Fridays)

Sept 11th-October 27th is usually the time frame.  The game schedule doesn't get released until after September 4th.  Practices are usually 1 hour - 2x a week.  Games are usually 1 hour 1 x per week 

Practices for all teams begin Tuesday, Sept. 5 and will be held immediately after school, 3:20 PM-4:15 PM.  Practice days are TBA.  There will be two practices and one game per week. Games begin mid-September and run through the end of October.

Girls Volleyball 6th - 8th grade

Girls Volleyball league 6th-8th grade  - The city of Menlo park is in charge of the league, and the schedule of the games at Arrillaga Gym for 4, 5, or 6pm game time.

The athletes will be taught foundational volleyball skills (bumping, setting, serving, court rotation) and focus on ball control. The players will learn how to pass with good mechanics, prepare for serve, receive, and apply defensive skills. 

 

Practices are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays depending on what works best for your team, and usually lasts 75-90 mins.

Fall Tennis Clinics

Fall tennis clinics will be run by La Entrada Coach and teaching pro Tony Simon at the La Entrada tennis courts. Clinics will begin September 11 and run through October 25. The week of Oct. 28 will be used for rain makeup.  Clinics are offered for 4th – 8th graders.  

There will be three levels offered:

Beginner:  Instruction will include basic fundamentals of all strokes, with focus on being able to rally and serve in a game. Clinics will be held Monday from 3:15pm-4:15pm & Tuesdays from 3:15pm-4:15pm

 

Intermediate:  Focus will include developing strong groundstrokes, serving and net play. Clinics will be held Mondays from 4:15pm-5:15pm and Tuesdaysfrom 4:15pm-5:15pm.

 

Intermediate/Advanced:  Focus will be challenging drills, strategies and match play. Clinics will be held Wednesdaysfrom 2:30pm-3:30pm (Early Dismissal) & Thursdaysfrom 3:15pm-4:15pm.
