Basketball League Winter

(3rd - 8th grade)

The Las Lomitas League basketball program is open to all Las Lomitas and La Entrada students (and non-student residents) in 3rd through 8th grades in the Las Lomitas Elementary School District. Registration is open!

Registration

  • Students may withdraw for a refund if the registrar is contacted within one week of notification of your team placement. There will be no refunds after this time. Our system requires we pay a fee for every registration up front, therefore any cancellations are refunded minus a $25 non-refundable processing fee.

  • We are unable to accommodate the placement of players on specific teams for carpooling or friendship purposes.

  • We cannot permit players to switch teams once teams are announced without the approval of the Basketball Athletic Director.

$225 per player through 10/31. $250 ($25 late fee applied) after 10/31.

Evaluations / Rosters / Schedules

Player evaluation day will be held on Saturday, November 4th at the La Entrada Gym. Evaluations are used strictly to divide each grade level into fair and balanced teams. Each division holding evaluations will be assigned an hour on Saturday when the players must come to La Entrada for evaluations. If your student is unable to attend their assigned time, please inform your division coordinator.

Players will practice twice a week for an hour at La Entrada and then play a single game on Saturdays at Arrillaga Gym from December through Early March. 

Coaches / Volunteers

  • We need volunteer coaches and coordinators for the boys and girls teams! Please let us know if you are interested in helping, here.

  • Coaches will run two practices per week and one game per week. We will need a pair of coaches for each group of 10 children who sign-up, typically 40 players of each gender.

  • This program cannot exist without the help of parent volunteers. Whether as a coach, team parent, uniform coordinator, or Evaluation Day assistant, please consider volunteering your time in some capacity.

League Information

  • Our 3rd through 7th grade teams participate in the Menlo Park Youth Basketball League run by the City of Menlo Park Recreation Department. Games are played from December through March at the Arrillaga Family Gymnasium.

  • Our varsity teams (8th grade boys and 7th-8th grade girls) participate in the Mid-Peninsula Middle School League (MPMSL). This recreational league for varsity teams operates under the same philosophies as the Menlo Park Youth Basketball League, but games are played at La Entrada, Hillview, Corte Madera and Woodside Elementary.
